Ingredients
- 3 tomatoes halved
- 1 onion sliced
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 1 tsp tomato paste
- 300 g shrimps peeled and deveined
- 250 g pasta tagliatelle, linguine, or spaghetti
- 2 ladles pasta water
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- 1 tsp paprika powder
- ½ tsp chili flakes
- 1 tsp dried basil
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
- Parmesan cheese grated
Instructions
- Cut the tomatoes in half and slice the onion.
- Heat olive oil in a pan, place tomatoes cut side down with onion slices, and sauté until soft.
- Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package instructions. Reserve 2 ladles of pasta water.
- Peel tomato skins, add tomato paste and salt, then sauté briefly.
- Transfer tomatoes and onion to a blender, add a little hot water, and blend into a smooth sauce. Adjust seasoning.
- In another pan, heat olive oil, add shrimps, garlic, and spices. Cook until shrimps turn golden.
