Juicy mushrooms seasoned with garlic and herbs, stuffed with melted mozzarella, and wrapped in crispy bacon. An easy oven-baked appetizer that's perfect for parties, family dinners, or a savory snack.
Prepare the mushrooms: Clean the mushrooms, pat them dry, and carefully remove the stems.
Make the seasoning: Mix olive oil, minced garlic, thyme, black pepper, sweet paprika, and dried vegetable seasoning in a small bowl.
Season the mushrooms: Brush the inside of each mushroom cap with the garlic and herb mixture.
Prepare the bacon: Lay two thin bacon slices in a cross shape on a cutting board. Place a seasoned mushroom in the center, hollow side facing up.
Add mozzarella: Place one or two drained baby mozzarella balls inside each mushroom.
Wrap: Fold the bacon slices around the mushroom, covering the filling and securing the ends underneath.
Arrange: Place the wrapped mushrooms on a parchment-lined baking tray, leaving space between them.
Bake: Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F), or 190°C (375°F) fan-assisted. Bake for 20–25 minutes until the bacon is cooked through and browned, the mushrooms are tender, and the cheese has melted.
Finish and serve: Broil for 2–3 minutes if needed for crispier bacon. Let rest for 2–3 minutes before serving.
