Ingredients

  • 6 chicken drumsticks
  • 5 tbsp sour cream
  • 5 tbsp soy sauce
  • tbsp grated ginger
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • chopped fresh mint
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Instructions

Step 1: Cut the Drumsticks

  • Start by making 3–5 shallow cuts in each chicken drumstick. This helps the marinade soak in better and allows the meat to cook more evenly, giving you extra flavor in every bite.

Step 2: Mix with Marinade Ingredients

  • Place all the drumsticks in a large mixing bowl. Add all the marinade ingredients, including the honey, soy sauce, ginger, mint, sour cream, lemon juice, and spices. Make sure everything is ready before you start mixing so the flavors combine well.
  • Using clean hands or a spoon, mix everything thoroughly so each drumstick is coated evenly. Cover the bowl with cling film and place it in the fridge to marinate for at least 2 hours. The longer it sits, the more flavorful the chicken will be.

Step 3: Cook in the Air Fryer

  • After marinating, place the drumsticks in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Select the Drumsticks, Chicken, or Poultry cooking mode, depending on what your air fryer offers. Cook for 20 minutes on one side, then carefully flip the drumsticks and cook for another 5 minutes on the other side. This method ensures the chicken turns out golden, juicy, and fully cooked without needing to set a specific temperature.

Step 4: Let Them Rest

  • After cooking, let the drumsticks rest for about 5 minutes. This helps the juices settle and keeps you from burning your fingers or mouth when serving.

Optional: Add Your Favorite Sauce

  • You can enjoy these drumsticks as they are, or dip them in your favorite sauce for an extra kick. Sweet, spicy, or tangy, they pair well with almost anything.
  • Enjoy your crispy and flavorful Air Fryer Drumsticks!
