There’s something incredibly comforting about a creamy bowl of pasta, especially when it’s quick, easy, and full of flavor. This Creamy Bacon and Sun-Dried Tomato Pasta is one of my go-to recipes for busy nights or when I want a cozy dinner without the fuss. It’s packed with crispy bacon, tangy sun-dried tomatoes, and fresh basil, all wrapped in a rich, creamy tomato sauce.

  • 1 small onion finely diced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ cup sun-dried tomatoes drained and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • ½ cup dry white wine optional, can substitute with broth
  • cups vegetable broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 oz 225g pasta (spaghetti or your favorite shape)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese plus more for serving
  • Fresh basil leaves chopped, for garnish

Instructions

Boil the Pasta

  • Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Ingredients

  • While the pasta cooks, finely chop the onion, sun-dried tomatoes, and basil. Dice the bacon into small pieces.

Cook the Bacon and Vegetables

  • Add the chopped onion and sun-dried tomatoes, and sauté until the onion is soft and fragrant.

Make the Sauce

  • Season with salt, pepper, oregano, or your favorite spices. Stir in the tomato paste and white wine, cooking until the sauce is smooth and slightly reduced.
  • Pour in the vegetable broth and heavy cream, stirring until creamy. Add the grated Parmesan and chopped basil, stirring until the cheese melts and the sauce is well combined.
