Best Ever Vanilla Cupcake Recipe

Sweet Family Meals
Baking with my son is one of my favorite things to do. She might not be helping much yet, but I love seeing him by my side in the kitchen, soaking in all the sights and sounds. It’s our little bonding ritual, and I can’t wait for the day he can join in on her own.
This cupcake recipe is wonderfully simple and just right for little hands to help with, especially for those toddlers who are starting to take an interest in the kitchen. It’s easy to whip up and perfect for creating special moments together.

Ingredients

For the dough

  • Butter 180g
  • Eggs 5 pcs
  • Vanilla sugar 1 pack
  • Milk 200 ml
  • Flour 350 g
  • Baking powder 1 tsp
  • Sugar 240 g

For the cream:

  • Cheese cream 300 g
  • Butter 100 g
  • Powdered sugar 80 g

Instructions

Step 1: Preparing the Batter

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the butter, sugar, and vanilla sugar. Cream the mixture until it becomes light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time: crack the first egg, mix well, and repeat the process with the remaining eggs, ensuring each is fully incorporated before adding the next.
  • Gradually pour in the milk while mixing continuously until the batter is smooth and well combined.

Step 2: Incorporating the Dry Ingredients

  • In a separate bowl, sift together the flour and baking powder. Slowly add this dry mixture to the wet batter, stirring thoroughly after each addition to avoid lumps.

Step 3: Preparing for Baking

  • Line a muffin tray with cupcake liners. Carefully spoon the batter into each liner, filling them about two-thirds full to allow room for the cupcakes to rise.
  • Preheat your oven to 160°C (320°F), then bake the cupcakes for 20–25 minutes. Check for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center—if it comes out clean, they’re ready!

Step 4: Making the Cream Frosting

  • While the cupcakes cool, prepare the frosting. In a mixing bowl, combine room-temperature butter, cream cheese, and powdered sugar. Whip the ingredients together until the mixture is smooth, creamy, and fluffy.

Step 5: Decorating the Cupcakes

  • Once the cupcakes have completely cooled, spread or pipe the cream frosting onto each one. Add your favorite toppings, such as fresh fruit, sprinkles, or chocolate shavings, to give them a personal touch.
  • Enjoy your perfectly fluffy, creamy, and delicious cupcakes!
