Ingredients

  • 2 cups rigatoni or farfalle bow-tie, regular, whole wheat, chickpea, or gluten-free
  • 1 –2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

Cook the Pasta:

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the rigatoni or farfalle and cook until al dente, following the package instructions. Once done, drain the pasta and transfer it straight to a large mixing bowl.

Preheat the Air Fryer:

  • While the pasta cooks, set your air fryer to preheat at 380°F (193°C).

Season the Pasta:

  • Drizzle the cooked pasta with olive oil, then sprinkle in the Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and grated parmesan. Toss everything together until the pasta is evenly coated.

Air Fry:

  • Place the seasoned pasta in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 10 to 14 minutes, shaking the basket around the 6-minute mark to ensure even crisping. Keep an eye on them, as air fryer times may vary slightly.

Serve and Enjoy

  • Once the pasta chips are golden brown and crispy, remove them from the air fryer. Serve right away, garnished with extra parmesan and chopped fresh parsley if you’d like. Enjoy them as a crunchy snack, a side dish, or dip them in marinara or pesto for extra flavor!
